As a daughter of military parents, Jasmin has visited various places
in the world and moved permanently to the States via Bossier City,
Louisiana in 1992. Upon graduating from high school, she attended
Dillard University in New Orleans.
In addition to completing her Master's in English and American
Literature at the University of Houston-Main Campus and writing her
Master's thesis entitled "The Construction of Black Beauty in Selected
Dramas by Black Female Playwrights," Jasmin taught English 1301 and
served as a research assistant. Upon graduation in 2007, she worked
for a local non-profit organization and later transitioned into
teaching English Composition at the Houston Community College.
She proactively educates, enlightens and empowers her Freshmen and
Senior English students in the greater Houston area. One of her
current endeavors includes launching a non-profit organization for
teenage girls. Her hobbies and interests include spending time
with her loved ones, volunteering, modeling, the Arts, diversity,
culture, dance, black beauty and fashion.
Jasmin's goal in life is to walk in her destined purpose and to serve
as an encouragement to those she is blessed to meet.
