mod·el noun \ˈmä-dəl\ : an example for imitation or emulation, : a person or thing that serves as a pattern for an artist; especially : one who poses for an artist
My mother told me that as soon as I realized a camera's function, there was never a time thereafter that I did strike a pose or flash a smile, which is funny because when I look at pictures of her during her early twenties, thirties, and even now, she is always striking a regal pose, one passed down to her from my grandmother. So it is safe to say, the seed was planted at birth and bloomed over the years. Even though I desired to model as I teen, I am grateful now for the fact that I am comfortable in my skin and while I am not THE MODEL, I am A MODEL, who hopes to inspire young ladies especially those who have been told that they are not pretty because of their complexion and/or body. If beauty encompassed one type of person, then we would all look the same and how boring that would be!
